Seve Ballesteros now recovered

Friday, 12 March 2010

Seve Ballesteros has recovered from an injury he sustained after he fell from a golf buggy, banging his head on a course in Spain.

The 52-year-old Spanish golfer was in Pedrena, northern Spain, last weekend when he fell from the cart and had to be put in an observation ward.

Commenting shortly after the accident, he said: "I was under observation for three days, but I'm recovered now."

Ballesteros has had a notable history of hospital visitations since October 2008, when he collapsed at Barajas airport in Madrid.

It was shortly discovered that he had a brain tumour and he only made a recovery after four operations, which he described as having "great complexity", in the remaining months of that year.

The golfer, who is a five-time major winner, is set to compete in the 150th anniversary celebration of the British Open four-hole event at St Andrews this summer.ADNFCR-2334-ID-19667359-ADNFCR
