Fabio Capello 'will stay for England's golf'

Monday, 8 March 2010

England manager Fabio Capello will extend his stay in England for a few more years but only for his love of golf, it has been claimed.

A top England source has told the Daily Mirror that Capello spends more time focusing on his golf swing than anyone could imagine and also happens to be a very good player.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the source said: "Fabio is a private guy and also a competitive sportsman. He played a bit of golf before he came to England, but since he has arrived it has taken over his spare time."

It is reported that Capello's handicap may have dropped to six since he arrived in the country and is rumoured to talk more about golf than his professional love of football.

Capello recently had to undergo knee surgery in Italy following a long bout of problems which began during his active football playing career.
