Angel Cabrera wants Tiger Woods at Augusta

Friday, 5 March 2010

Reigning Masters champion Angel Cabrera has declared he wants to see Tiger Woods at Augusta this year, stating his presence often decides the outcome of tournaments.

However, Woods is currently undergoing rehabilitation and it is unknown when he will return to the sport following his exit in November last year.

Speaking about the upcoming contest in April, Cabrera said: "Obviously I want Tiger to be there. He is the best and when he is there he makes tournaments different."

The Augusta National Golf Club is understood to have received no message from Woods confirming his attendance.

Several sponsors have recently dropped the world number one golfer, but a new text messaging service which allows users to permanently erase messages and ensure their privacy was launched this week under the brand name 'Tiger-text'.

The application is meant to be used on phones with Android software and was named before the golfer's exit from the sport according to its founder Jeffrey Evans, of X Sigma Partners, who was speaking to AFP.ADNFCR-2334-ID-19654039-ADNFCR
